Stone's journey into dance began at a young age, as he immersed himself in the rhythmic world of African street dance. Through school events and street performances, he developed a deep passion for the art form. His love for movement flourished as he discovered the dynamic styles of Ndombolo, Soukous, Makossa, and Afrobeat/Afrofusion—each captivating him with its energy and expressive power.
Driven by a relentless desire to master these forms, Stone trained with some of Douala’s most influential dancers, quickly gaining recognition and performing at regional shows. In 2015, he traveled to Lisbon to refine his skills in Afrohouse and Ndombolo, mastering the intricate footwork, fluid movements, and musicality that define these styles.
Since moving to Germany in 2015, Stone's has played a pivotal role in shaping the Afro dance scene across Europe. He has taught at numerous dance schools, helped build a thriving Afro dance community, and collaborated with artists and dancers like Ama Gold, Joel Tenda, Crazylegs, Selma, and Sepzilla. His work has become a driving force in spreading Afro dance culture throughout Europe.
Through his high-energy performances and engaging workshops, Stone's has inspired dancers from Europe to Africa and even India, fostering creativity and collaboration within the Afro dance community. His choreography breathes new life into the art form, encouraging dancers of all levels to explore their unique potential.
In 2025, Stone's took a significant step by establishing AYBO DC a dedicated space for the teaching, practice, and celebration of African street dance heritage. His vision is to provide a safe, supportive environment where the full richness of African dance traditions can be experienced and enjoyed by all.
